We recently celebrated my little girl’s birthday. She loves cupcakes and especially loves the color pink. I wanted to try something different to jazz up her cake a bit from the traditional. That is what sparked this idea.
This latest installment to the cookie dough frostings is nothing short of incredible. The frosting has white sugar in it to give it more of a sugary taste. It tastes exactly like a sugar cookie on top of you cake! Can you say “WOW!”?! It is super unique and is sure to be a hit with all who try it.
I LOVE this recipe and if you love sugar cookies then I know you will too!
- 4 oz. softened cream cheese
- 5 Tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon butter extract
- 1 envelope dream whip
- 3 to 4 Tablespoons milk
- ¾ cup flour
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- Beat butter and cream cheese. Add sugar and beat again. Add vanilla, and butter extract beat again. Add dream whip and milk and beat again. Add flour, powdered sugar and salt. Beat for about 1 minute more. Do not over beat, frosting should have a cookie dough texture. Frost and top with sprinkles.
