OMG! I just made this :) it is the most amazing this ever! I opened it after it got golden brown and put it in broil with the oven open for about 2-3 minutes, just to get the spread a little more crunchy. Thank you so much for sharing!! Always love your recipies and site!

Can't go wrong with butter, garlic and cheese! I'm going to give this a try tomorrow with our gravy and macaroni. Grandmas always have the best recipes! Thanks for sharing!

Needed a garlic spread in a pinch, found this, and it's a winner! However, I only had a small loaf of bread so made way too much. Just a warning. If you have a big French loaf, this is the right amount, but for smaller amounts cut the recipe in half. And I used a little garlic salt as well. Thanks for the recipe will definitely come back.

We found your recipe and my team made this garlic bread in our college nutrition & dietetics class. It was a huge hit and easily affordable for us, which usually isn't the case when we want to get our hands dirty in the kitchen. Thank you so much for putting together such a delicious recipe and if you would like a copy of your recipe in APA format (cited) and in standardized form I would be happy to send them both to you! :)) My husband and I are going to try more of your recipes at home when we want to switch up our meal plan. :)

I first tasted this recipe when my mom made it for us all and oh my heavens, it was delicious! Everyone loved it and couldn't get enough of it. It is now something we make all the time. Such a delicious recipe! Better than anything I have had at a restaurant. If you haven't yet tried it, please do. It's sure to be a hit!

This bread is so good! I baked for approx 13 minutes, opened up and broiled until the cheese mixture was bubbling and edges were slightly browned. Tender and crunchy. Will be making again! Thanks so much for the recipe!!

This is wonderful, and it does make a lot of spread, but I plan to refrigerate it until it solidifies slightly, then scoop out little coins of garlic butter onto a sheet pan and freeze it. Then I'll put it into a freezer bag or container and have garlic butter for hot bread whenever I need it. Perfect!!!

I need to make garlic bread for company and would LOVE to use this recipe. But it says to seal the bread tightly in foil before baking. To do that should I replace the top half on the bottom half first? Doesnt' seem as if the spread would permeate the top half. Or do I lay them side by side? Seems foil would make a mess of the spread. Please reply!

lay them side by side :)

How do we exactly cut this loaf of bread? Or is there a video you did about this?I am confused:(

    1. Chef in Training

You cut the loaf in half length wise, from one end to the other end

I halved the recipe and it was great! I roasted the bread in the oven for 12 minutes and it was perfect. So tasty and easy to make. Thanks for sharing a great recipe.

It will never be the best, until you use real garlic!!!

Are the halves baked separate or on top of each other??

    Thanks!

    1. Chef in Training

I bake them side by side
