Sugar Cookie Dough Frosting

We recently celebrated my little girl’s birthday. She loves cupcakes and especially loves the color pink. I wanted to try something different to jazz up her cake a bit from the traditional. That is what sparked this idea.

If you can’t tell by now, I have a cookie dough frosting obsession… check out Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Frosting, Snickerdoodle Cookie Dough Frosting and Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Frosting.

This latest installment to the cookie dough frostings is nothing short of incredible. The frosting has white sugar in it to give it more of a sugary taste. It tastes exactly like a sugar cookie on top of you cake! Can you say “WOW!”?! It is super unique and is sure to be a hit with all who try it.

I LOVE this recipe and if you love sugar cookies then I know you will too!

Sugar Cookie Dough Frosting… oh. my. gosh. This recipe is INCREDIBLE and the flavor is spot on!

Is this a real firm frosting? I'm making a castle cake for my boy's birthday next week and I can't stomach powdered-sugar frosting, but I think whipped cream frosting would be too soft for things like towers and would just slide off.

It is pretty firm, though I have never tried it on something like that. You can adjust consistency of frosting with powdered sugar. If you end up using this frosting for that amazing castle cake, you will have to let me know how it turned out for you :)

What is an "envelope of dream whip"?! Do you find it in the baking aisle?!

you can omit it. It just adds a little different texture but I have made it without and it is just as good :)

I was planning on making cupcakes with this frosting and dipping them in sugar as well. Should I still include the sugar in the frosting itself or do you think that will make it overly sweet?
