Fruit Salsa

My husband’s work hosted a salsa contest earlier in the week where everyone could bring in their favorite salsa to share with the rest of the employees. I went outside the normal tomato based salsa and set him to work with this yummy fruit salsa!  In his words, “It was a smash hit!”  The bowl came back completely empty so I will take his word for it :) It is best served with cinnamon chips and makes for a sweet take on traditional salsa!

1 large apple, cut into larger chunks
8 oz strawberries, chopped
1 pint raspberries
2 kiwis, sliced
1 Tbsp. orange marmalade
1/2 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 Tbsp. brown sugar

cinnamon chips (see recipe below)

Add the apple to a food processor and chop it into small and medium-sized chunks. Remove apple and place in a large bowl. Add strawberries, raspberries and kiwi to the food processor. Mix until smooth. Remove berry mixture and add it to apples. To bowl, add marmalade and sugars, mixing until combined.Serve with cinnamon sugar chips.


1 (24 oz) Package flour tortillasbutter, melted
1/2 cup sugar
1-2 Tbsp. Cinnamon

You may not need the full amount of cinnamon-sugar.  I always make a little extra and save what I don’t use.
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Stir together cinnamon and sugar.
Spread melted butter over flour tortillas.
Sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture over tortillas coating evenly.
Cut each tortilla into 8 inch slices and place on cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 F until light brown, approximately 8-10 minutes.
Dip in your fruit salsa and Enjoy

    Love doing this recipe! However I always seem to burn my chips so I found a great substitute! Stacy's Brand Pita Chips in Cinnamon Sugar! They work perfectly with this salsa and save some time!
