Yum! How tasty would be the addition of chocolate chips and walnuts?

I am a bit confused on the icing directions. Do you add the vanilla and sugar to the saucepan mixture after mixed together?

I love bananas and inevitably overbuy them every week and they turn brown and mushy. I am always looking for new recipes to use them. This recipe is great! I made these today and they were absolutely fabulous! My whole family loves them too. I made a double batch and towards the end of the batter I added in milk chocolate chips (because I'm a chocoholic) and they were also amazing. I only iced the non-chip ones. My hubby loves the plain banana with icing and my favorite is the banana chocolate chip no icing...anyway, thanks for sharing!

These tasted excellent, but the icing was a little strange. It didn't look like the picture at all. How much powdered sugar do you use? The icing turned out like light syrup, but tasted great. I wanted it to look more like the picture so it would stay on the cookie. However, it did taste great. The chocolate chips like Pam had suggested really took these cookies to the next level. Wonderful recipe.

Under your directions it says to bring milk, butter and sugar to a boil... what butter? How much? It doesn't list butter under ingredients. Confused

Hey :) just made these cookies today & they are delicious, thanks for sharing the recipe :) I had a bit of a problem with the icing though. I'venever made this type of icing & had to add a bucket load of powdered to get anywhere near a spreading consistency. In the end I just drizzled it over the cookies. I would really love it if you could update the recipe with some more detailed instructions & the quantity of powdered sugar you used - thanks :)
