This is one of my absolute FAVORITE recipes! It is so easy to make, the flavor is so delicious and it is perfect topped on waffles, crepes, cakes… pretty much anything you set your heart to. It is also fantastic eaten by the spoonful!

Definitely try out this recipe! You won’t believe how fabulous it is until you try your first bite!

Ingredients 

  • 5.1 ounces Instant Vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  • Combine all the ingredients into a medium mixing bowl.
  • Beat on high until it thickens.

    Call me old school but I like the cook and serve pudding. It tastes much better, in my opinion. That said, I made this recipe (with old school pudding) and I used it as a filling in a plain old yellow cake. After I made the cake I took a wooden spoon and poked holes all over it. I poured the filling over the top and let it cool. Rich chocolate icing and we have a winner! I'm taking this cake to a family gathering. It looks like a regular cake but the filling inside is the surprise!

    thanks for posting this recipe~ I knew there was an easier cream recipe out there to use for fillings for pastries and cakes and stuff. thanks for posting it as this is my go to recipe for things as it not complicated and just the right one for me to use. I don't do complicated recipes and need something quick and simple and this one does it for me.

    I made this tonight to fill cupcakes with. I have to say that personally it was way too stiff, griddy and extremely sweet. I had to add a lot of extra milk to get it to a smooth and creamy texture. It's perfect now. Just an FYI Anyone who does the same way.
