Cranberry Pecan Brie Crostinis …

**Giveaway Closed*  The winner is: Barbara N.*

Are you in need of a yummy holiday appetizer?! Are you in need of a great serveware piece to display your holiday recipes on? Stay tuned to the end of this post for an amazing Nambe giveaway :)

These crostinis are warm and delicious with pleasing combinations of textures and flavors.

The soft and warm brie cheese smeared across the toasted crostini topped with craisins and pecans is amazing. If that isn’t enough, the Maple Sugar Glaze completes these personal appetizers with a sweet and complimentary coat to tie the flavors together.

When I made these, my husband and I could not get enough of them. They encase the perfect holiday touch and will leave you guests happy, satisfied and coming back to the table for more.

Cranberry Pecan Brie Crostinis with Maple Sugar Glaze
These are the perfect holiday appetizers! They are so easy and delicious!
Recipe type: Appetizer
  • 1 loaf Baguette Bread, thinly sliced
  • 0.5-0.7 lb. wedge Brie Cheese, warmed up
  • ½ cup pecans, chopped
  • ½ cup craisins
  • ¼ cup brown sugar, for sprinkling
Maple Sugar Glaze
  • 3 Tbsp. pure maple syrup
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  1. Slice Baguette into ½ slices.
  2. In a medium sauce pan, combine 3 Tbsp. maple syrup and 3 Tbsp. brown sugar and bring to a boil. Simmer until foamy, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Brush baguette slices lightly with olive oil and place on a foil covered cookie sheet.
  4. Broil on HI until crostinis turn golden in color. Watch carefully it only takes a couple minutes and you don’t want them to burn.
  5. Place Brie cheese on microwave-safe plate and microwave until cheese begins to melt and is warmed through.
  6. Spread some brie cheese on each crostini.
  7. Sprinkle chopped pecans and crasins over brie cheese. Sprinkle a little brown sugar over the tops of each crostini.
  8. Drizzle with Maple Sugar Glaze. These crostinis are best enjoyed warm.

It’s so pretty I don’t think it would matter what I serve. I would probably use it for christmas cookie display but I could see it being used for other things like when my husband makes us some sushi.

  2. Dezi A

I would serve appetizers… not sure which ones specifically, but that’s always my job at family get togethers. ::)

  3. Kimberly S.

I would serve our family’s assortment of homemade cookies and candies. I would also use it for my brown sugar bacon wrapped jalapeño appetizers!

  4. Shari

I would serve a variety of homemade Christmas candies like Mint Cookie Balls, Fudge, Toffee and some Icelandic cookies for my husband.

  5. Sarah LaMaster

I would totally put everything on this tray! I love it! It reminds me of my childhood…every year I got a Nambe ornament!

  6. Mercedes

My holiday appetizer variety tray. Even Xmas and turkey day I make everyone’s favorite. BIG family tons to choose from=happy mommy!

  7. Margaret Yani

Your blog is “my” cooking school!. I have got to make these crostini’s. I would also serve stuffed mushrooms and crostini with fig jam, goat cheese and a little honey. Happy Holidays1

  8. These crostinis are GORGEOUS, Nikki! I definitely know now what I’m serving for our holiday party on the 22nd! I think if I had one of those gorgeous Nambe trays, I’d serve these or a yummy assortment of bite-sized desserts at the holiday party!

  9. Charlotte B.

I would serve personal size flourless chocolate tortes on the tray. Im making them for Christmas eve this year!

  10. Juliette Mariano-Carlson

I would use it for beautifully decorated Christmas cupcakes, cookies along with fresh strawberries and chocolate covered strawberries.

  11. Laura

I would serve bacon/cheese pinwheels on this tray for an appetizer and then melted snowman cookies on it for a dessert. :)

  12. I think the brie with maple glaze would be perfect, but I like to have friends over and I have many appetizer recipes.. I like plain nice crackers with a smoked salmon cream cheese spread. Or shrimp mixture in pieces of celery. Truth to tell, that serving piece would make anything look good.

  13. paige shannon

What wouldn’t I serve on this for the holidays! It would make anything that I make -whether it is homemade or just store bought!

These crostinis look delicious – since they should be served warm is it possible to put them together and then just warm them up before serving?

  14. I can’t even. I simply adore each and every little inch of this recipe – the brie, the cranberry, the PECANS (!!!), that maple glaze. I do not think I’d be able to stop at only a couple of these. I adore brie cheese SO much and with sticky sweet maple pecans… I would not be able to resist these. A perfect holiday snack – wonderful for parties. who wouldn’t LOVE these?!

  15. LeeAnn C

Oh and if I were to win the tray, I would probably serve the mini taco cups that my friends all LOVE at our girl’s night out parties!

  21. Meghan

Any clue how many crostini I can get out of this recipe? I’m planning on making them this weekend for a party, and I don’t know whether to leave it as is or double the recipe (there will be about 16-20 people there).

    • Chef in Training

Depends how long your baguette is. I can typically get 20-ish crostini from mine. I would plan on doubling the recipe. Hope that helps. Let me know how they turn out for you and how many you were able to get per loaf :)

  22. Yvette

I love to make an assortment of Christmas candies. It would look beautiful on this tray! I’m all about presentation! Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping I’m a winner!
