I decided to give these Golden Oreos a try and the end result was delicious!  If you love blondies over brownies… these will probably be your favorite!  I love brownies, but these still were absolutely AMAZING! My husband took them into work and they received rave reviews! And best of all, they are completely easy to make!

No-Bake Golden Oreo Truffles

Only 3 ingredients! These are so easy to make and completely delicious!
Recipe type: Dessert
Ingredients
  • 1 package Golden Double Stuf Oreos, reserve a few cookies for garnish on top
  • 4 oz. cream cheese, you may need to add up to 8 oz. to get the consistency you want
  • Dipping Chocolate
Instructions
  1. Chop Oreos up finely in a food processor. Save some of the finely crushed Oreos for garnish later and set it aside. You don't need too much.
  2. With hands (or a spoon, I just think hands are faster), mash softened cream cheese and crushed Oreos until well combined.
  3. Roll into 1" balls and place on a wax covered cookie sheet. Put in freezer for 15 minutes.
  4. While balls are in freezer, melt chocolate according to directions.
  5. Pull the Oreo Truffles out of freezer, and dip into chocolate. Garnish with reserved Oreo crumbs before the chocolate sets up.
  6. Let chocolate set, refrigerate and enjoy!

Enjoy!

  3. Hayley @ The Domestic Rebel

I love whipping these up as gifts or favors for parties, or for my dad and mom to take into work because they're truly SO easy! And it's amazing that despite that ease, they taste so incredible, too. I'm a golden Oreo girl ALL the way, so these are right up my alley!

Hi Nikki, thanks fgor sharing, its a great and easy idea... just looking back to the original Oreo Truffle post you made I can see people get confused with white chocolate and candy coating (thats what you used back then).
Regular white chocolate is different from candy coating, If you are using real chocolate you should check if your is tempered or not, I suggest gettingt an already tempered chocolate, its much easier that way.
Candy coating, I have found it sometimes as dipping chocolate, is easy to work with but I dont like much the flavor, I feel it taste artificial (I am picky I now).
Anyway, thanks again for sharing, I will make this with 70% tempered chocolate, I bet they will turn out great too!

I just made both the golden oreo truffles and the origional truffles with my toddler and pre-schooler - they were THAT easy! I didn't end up using as much cream cheese as the recipe called for - but they were delicious anyway! Thanks Nikki

Do these taste like or have the same texture as cake pops? These look amazingly delicious. I am thinking about making them in a rainbow of colours for a baby shower, I may have to use candy coating for that, unless you have a good trick for adding dye and melting the white chocolate. For some reason white chocolate rarely wants to melt to a smooth consistency for me hmmmm...

I've seen a couple different recipes for this, none seem to clarify. Are you supposed to separate the cookie from the cream before crushing it/putting it in the food processor or do you use the Oreo cream as part of the recipe?

    1. Chef in Training

nope, just stick the whole cookie in. It works out perfectly. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any more questions. I'm happy to help :)

Approximately how many truffles does this recipe make? I'm going to try them for my annual Christmas treat exchange.

  11. cindy

    Can you freeze these?
And is that white choc coating you used??
They look delicious, thx for sharing!

  12. Lindsay

Okay... I wanna know how you got the smooth chocolate finish. Mine look like the work of a 6 year old. Totally pathetic!

    1. Lindsay

Seriously.... how did you get them to look so nice. Any specific technique?
When I tried dipping them with a toothpick, they kind of fell apart or fell off. When I used the fork, it looks awful. Any advice would be appreciated. None-the-less, they are delicious.

    2. Cindy tibbitts

I have made these and they are soon good. Try a plastic fork and break off the two middle tines. It leaves a holder to dip into the chocolate, or I used white almond bark and melted it for dipping

  13. Heather

How many does this recipe make? Wanting to make tonight for new years party. thanks!

  14. Rebecca from the Fieldhouse Kitchen

These look absolutely incredible, and super easy to make, too! I can't wait to try these with original chocolate Oreos as well (I'm a chocoholic!). Thanks for sharing!

  15. Maryfrances

How do you dip it without making a mess?

    1. Chef in Training

I use a fork and coat it then scoop it up onto the fork and let the excess drain off the bottom, then set it on foil or wax paper until it hardens. I hope that helps :) Please let me know if you have any more questions!
