I LOVE grilling season! We grill at least once a week at my house. I love the quick clean up, the no hassle recipes and that we don’t have to heat up our house!
I have been on the hunt for a good sweet and sour recipe for a while now, but none were making the cut. This recipe took some practicing to get just right and I am proud to announce that it is exactly that… just right!
We lathered our grilled chicken with this sauce and highly recommend it to others. I have tried many sweet and sour sauce recipes over the course of my life and can honestly say this is the best I have tried!
It has a perfect texture and the flavor is sweet and our of this world!
This sauce would make an excellent sauce for coating, lathering and/or dipping.
If you have some grilling planned for this summer, definitely try out this recipe- it is sure to be a huge hit will all who try it!

I love sweet & sour sauce. There are some good bottled ones out there, but homemade is the best!
Could this be canned?
Can't wait to make this sauce, looks so good.
It would be great to know the yield on this recipe!
Great sauce!!!! Went wonderfully with meat balls and rice!!!! I found adding the cornstarch with all the ingredients in the beginning made a smoother sauce. First attempt had lumps I had pick out. Second no Lumps at all!!
Going to make this this week! Can't wait! How long can you keep in the fridge?
I love this sauce although to me it tasted more like teriyaki sauce. So I added a little crushed pineapple and man oh man, so yummy I kept sticking my finger in it to, you know, make sure it was still good! Don't tell ok? Shhh
Super easy and delicious!
This looks both easy & delicious. I used to just grab a sweet & sour sauce off the shelf...until I actually read the list of ingredients. Why would I want to be feeding my family the junk that is in the jarred sauces? I don't & I won't! Can't wait to try this. Has anyone made it with a little less sugar? Thanks for the post!
