Potatoes are one of my absolute favorite side dishes. They are so versatile in their possibilities. I have dressed up my potatoes in numerous ways, but these are definitely one of my new favorites!

These potatoes are stacked upright in columns rather than flat. It makes it easier for the creamy sauce to get in-between each potato to make sure it is loaded with flavor in each and every bite.

I made these & the sauce is delicious-but 5 large potatoes-I have been cooking for 43 years & I ended up using about 4 pounds of potatoes & there was no way it fit in a 9 x 13" pan. They turned out great-my question is any idea on how many cups or pounds of potatoes that you used ? I think these would be wonderful if somehow someone figured out how to make these as a party type potato aka known as funeral potatoes with frozen hash browns.

These look really good. I already have ranch dressing as a liquid in a bottle, has anyone tried to use bottled ranch? How much should be used and when should it be added?

    Thanks much

I made these potatoes for dinner and they were delicious.....how ever I think you need to add how many pounds of potatoes you need....i had to much sauce for the amount of potatoes you required and they are VERY VERY RICH. PLUS THE BAKING TIME IS NO ENOUGH...They could have easily baked for 2 hours... potatoes were still hard after 1.15 minutes

Sometimes I feel badly taking these to a potluck. They are the first dish to be decimated, and I always get requests for the recipe. Thank you for a wonderful recipe!
