I LOVE Cookie Dough!  Probably more than any person should!  This dip was a HUGE hit at my home!  It makes for a fun appetizer or dessert for any party, bridal or baby shower, or a yummy snack to share!  Give it a try!  It is AMAZING!

recipe from: Jewel Bakes

½ c butter
¼ c brown sugar, slightly packed
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
8 oz. cream cheese , room temperature
½ c confectioners’ sugar
1 c mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

In a medium saucepan melt the butter and brown sugar. Whisk together over medium-high heat until sugar has dissolved, about 4 minutes. Remove from heat and whisk in vanilla extract. Set aside and let cool, if you’re in a hurry stick in the freezer for about 15 minutes.

In the meantime cream together the cream cheese and confectioners’ sugar for 1-2 minutes.

Slowly pour in the butter/sugar mixture. Beat on medium-high until the mixture is combined and not separated. It may take up to 5 minutes.

Stir in the chocolate chips.
Recommended to Serve with Graham crackers, vanilla wafers, animal crackers

So happy I found this….Enjoyed this somewhere about 3 years ago and asked for recipe; never received it so I am thrilled to find it here!!

  22. 22

Also delicious filled in hulled out strawberries!

  23. 23

    Where's the dough?

  24. 24

Can this be refrigerated and then served the next day?

  25. 25

I found a similar recipe and it said to refrigerate until served

  26. 26

I refrigerated it and served it the next day and it turned out great! I let it sit on the counter for maybe a half hour before serving so it reached a more dip-able consistency.

Sadly this didnt turn out, i must have made it wrong :< it was alright…but really didnt taste like cookie dough and was brown, nothing like the picture.

I made this recipe after I saw it on Pinterest. It was sooo easy and so fabulous. On a whim, right after I took the pan with melted butter, brown sugar and vanilla off the stove to cool I threw in a handful of frozen raspberries. It cooled down faster and tasted fabulous. I tell everyone about it and I will be making this many many times in the future, trying new fruits and flavors. Thank you!!!!

This isn’t real cookie dough. There are no eggs or leavening agents. It just has a similar flavor to cookie dough.

This was very good. I made a half batch and it was plenty for us. I chopped up a milk chocolate Easter bunny that had escaped immediate consumption instead of using the chocolate chips. As for avoiding the “brown” appearance, you can use light brown sugar (instead of dark) and use clear vanilla extract. Thanks for the yummy recipe!
