Orange Jello Fluff

My husband’s family loves their Jello. To be honest, I have always hated Jello. Still do. haha! (Sorry to his family if they are reading this. Your Jello is still awesome ;) ) With out fail, Jello makes it to their dinner tables whenever we are there. I have gotten used to it though and actually love that it is tradition. It almost wouldn’t feel like a real dinner if I didn’t see it on the table. My husband loves the stuff. Something about Jello’s consistency freaks me out. Am I weird? Sure. It must be a mental block.

However, that all being said, if you dress up Jello in whipped cream, cool whip, marshmallows and other stuff- that I can do. Its not jiggling at me ;)

In my family, it’s not truly summer until some Jello Fluff has made an appearance. The unique thing about this one is the cheddar cheese. Don’t let that freak you out! It actually adds such an incredible flavor and balance to the sweetness. If you have some pot lucks or big dinners coming up, try out this recipe!

Also- the road seems pretty split as far as cool whip is concerned. There are those who love it and those that hate it. On the other side there is sweetened whip cream. If you have a preference, swap them out. So far I have yet to try a recipe that two couldn’t be substituted cup for cup with one another. I use Cool Whip purely for the ease and convince and to knock off an extra step of whipping the cream… but if want to do it that way, go for it! :)

I grew up with a mom and grandma who believed Cool Whip and marshmallows were food groups and they made marshmallow 'salad' as they called it all the time which looks a lot like this! Fun childhood memories come back to me when I see this :)

Whoa. I’ve eaten a lot of jello fluff in my day, but cheddar cheese is something I’ve never seen!!! Points for creativity! And I’ll definitely have to try this out— I eat cheese in all sorts of other desserts, I can imagine how this would be good! Pinned :)

I totally agree with you about jello! I've always hated that "jiggle"! I've always hated pudding for the same reason!

This is so delicious. I made the recipe right after I saw it posted. I used less cheese due to my nervousness but I will say next time I will use the required amount. It's so creamy and the texture is amazing.

Not a fan of orange anything (reminds me of baby aspirin). Would another flavor taste as good?

You can also use Dream Whip to make whipped cream if you don't like the other two choices.

I'm with you about jello. However, not because of its jiggle. I hate Jello because that's what you get fed when you're on a liquid diet in the hospital. Hated it. I do love Ambrosia though. This is similar to that. Must try.
