Homemade Breadsticks

Ingredients 

  • 1 Tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 Tablespoons sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Activate yeast in the warm water for 10 minutes.
  • Mix in flour, sugar, and salt.Let dough rise for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 375 F.
  • Combine Melted butter, garlic salt and dried parsley and pour into a cookie sheet.
  • Divide dough into 12 pieces.
  • Roll out each piece into long strips.  Roll in melted butter and twist strip to get the fun bread stick shape.
  • Bake at 375 F for 18 minutes.  
  • Take pan out and sprinkle bread sticks with fresh grated Parmesan cheese.  
  • Put back in oven for another 2 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and enjoy!
