Homemade Oreos

Ingredients 

  • 2 boxes chocolate cake mixes dry
  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 cup oil

Frosting

  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 3 Tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Mix and roll into small balls. Gently flatten.
  • Bake 350 F for 8-10 minutes. BUT DO NOT OVER BAKE! Its better to be a little undercooked but not over cooked. The softer the better.

Frosting

  • Mix frosting ingredients together adding more milk/powdered sugar to reach desired consistency.
  • Once cookies are cooled, frost the bottom of one of the cookies and sandwich another cookie on top to form Homemade Oreos.
