Nikki, my hubby is in scouts too & their camp is this week as well. Luckily my hubby is not the Scout Master, & got out of going this year! Thank goodness, b/c we are all sick at our house right now & I need the help! Good luck this week with your kiddos. Hopefully they don't miss their Daddy too much, & are good for you :)

    good morning lovelies!

it's interesting how many people are involved with scouts, cubs, brownies, etc... I was a brownie myself when I was young. Actually, I wrote a paper in university last year on the Scouts in both the US and Canada and how they - as an institution - help to indoctrinate masculinity, the nation, and ultimately militarism. It was exciting and slightly upsetting to take apart something so near to my heart but also very enlightening. I love women's studies! hahaha...

This week I've linked up my Secret Recipe Club assignment: Balsamic Slow Braised Grass-Fed (Pastured) Beef Short Ribs. By FAR, best meal I've had in a long time. I recommend them to anyone who likes beef. Or meat. Or food. ;)

    Thank you for hosting.
