Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosted Brownies

These Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosted Brownies are such a simple yet delicious dessert. The brownies are rich and dense and are topped with such a light and fluffy Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting. Together, the pair to make one absolutely yummy chocolate treat!
  • 4 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate
  • ¾ cup butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1⅓ cups flour
Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting
  • 12 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2½ cups powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Spray 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  3. In a large microwave safe bowl, melt butter and chocolate together and mix until smooth.
  4. Add eggs, sugar, and vanilla and beat until well blended.
  5. Add flour and mix until just blended.
  6. Pour into prepared baking dish and bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and cool completely.
Cream Cheese Frosting
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add powdered sugar and cocoa and beat on low until you can not see the powdered sugar, and then turn your mixer to high and beat frosting until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add vanilla and beat again.
  4. Spread over cooled brownies
