Boston Cream Pie is one of my favorite treats! The combo of the cream filling, chocolate frosting and yellow cake makes my heart so happy :)

This “custard”y “pudding” layer has been one my family has been making for a while now. It is SO simple but the flavor is outrageously good!

This cake feeds a crowd and is beyond easy to make. I had one too many pieces than I should have, but I just couldn’t stop. This cake is fabulous!

It starts with a cake mix, but then is doctored up to make one moist and flavorful yellow cake. It has such a wonderful texture.

This sounds wonderful. But should you cool the cake again once the whipped cream filling is spread on top? If not, won't the warm icing melt the filling?

Nikki, this dessert looks so impressive! I love that it is easily made with a doctored up cake mix. It's so great to have a super yummy dessert that will feed a crowd! (I'm throwing a baby shower soon, and this may be just the ticket!)

Is there a way that this can be adapted for a 13x9 - I want to try it for my dad's birthday but a sheet cake is too big to test out.
    Any ideas??

I made this yesterday for a family party and it was a hit! My sheet tray was a bit bigger than one recommended in the recipe, but I just shortened the baking time and it worked great!

Is the instant vanilla pudding in cake mix, wet-ready to eat pudding, vs in filling is the dry powder.. help!
