Homemade Mozzarella Sticks

I love appetizers. Snack foods that are flavorful, addictive and satisfying.

And that is exactly what today’s recipe is.

I am sure all of us are familiar with mozzarella sticks. They are a classic appetizer that puts a smile on just about everyone’s face.

However, not all of us have tried them homemade. And that is a crying shame because they are SO much better this way. Trust me on this!

Homemade Mozzarella Sticks... these are easy and absolutely DELICIOUS! The crispy outside filled with ooey gooey cheese makes for one addictive and tasty appetizer!

This cripsy batter is perfection. A mixture of bread crumbs and panko to make one flavorful and amazingly crisp outer shell coating some ooey gooey mozzarella cheese.

Oh yeah. It is a beautiful thing that will have your tastebuds doing a happy dance.

If you need an appetizer that will please your company, give this a try! You will be SO glad you did!

I was at a restaurant last weekend and they had homemade mozz and made their own sticks and I was all excited to try it but it wasn't anything special. You could open a restaurant with these...they blow the pants off any mozz sticks I've seen! :)

About how hot should the oil be before putting the sticks into it?

    Hi,

In this...what we can use instead of eggs..???

    1. Kelly

There are several things you can try - buttermilk, plain milk, or melted butter will probably work best in this case.

Did you freeze the cheese first or just follow the recipe as its written. I'm making these tomorrow and everyone I've talked to has told me to freeze the cheese first.
