Sautéed Cinnamon Apples

My kids are super picky eaters; especially my little boy. Somedays… even weeks.. I struggle to find something he likes or will sit down and eat. I know its probably just a phase, but it is hard! When I do find something, I like to change it up a pit to offer more variety and introduce him to some fun new flavors.

My kids LOVE apples! Sliced or saucy- it is one of their favorite snacks. I knew they would go crazy for these, especially my son.

I wanted to try changing up the flavor and method of cooking a bit and the end result was fabulous! These apples were loved by everyone who tried them!

This is such an easy and delicious side dish! These apples are cooked to perfection with incredible flavor! I love the added flavors of lime and orange juice. It helps bring the apples to life.

If you want to change up the way you eat apples, or maybe add a fun new item to the table, give this one a try! It is fantastic!

Years ago we used to go to a wonderful buffet ... fabulous salads, an amazing carvery, wheels of cheese, fresh baked breads. .. oh so good. And these amazing sauteed apples served with the roasted meats. I think these may be the same !! Wahooo !!!

This would also make a fantastic desert as well. Wrap these in dough, like a hand pie, and drop them in the Fry-O-Lator. When they come out, hit'em with a little Turbinado or sanding sugar. It’d be outstanding.

I make something very similar.... however only I use lemon juice.... and then add one thinly sliced onion. I know it sounds kind of odd ........ but good gravy is it ever good !

Will have to give this recipe a try. Here lately when. Fixing "fried" apples, I'd simmer the apples in apple juice with cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar. The family LOVES it.

What if I make these and don't add the cornstarch? What happens?

What if I don't have the orange juice?

Zested my orange and put that in with the juice, a little more cinnamon than called for.
    This recipe is great!

These apples would be fabulous with a pork roast. I'm going to make them with a tender pork loin roast very soon. My hubs will be thrilled.
