Chili Con Queso

New Years is this weekend!!! 2012 is going to be a great year, I can feel it!  New Years Eve we always throw a party.  This party is all about the finger foods!  Appetizers and snacks that are quick and easily eaten.  Remember a few posts ago how I told you that every Christmas Eve we have a Mexican feast?  Well this was one of our party foods that was served at this year’s party.  My brother-in-law Kelby and sister-in-law Michelle introduced me to this recipe and my family LOVES it!  This recipe would make for a great appetizer at your New Years Eve Party!

CHILI CON QUESO

32 oz. Velveeta cheese
1 8oz cream cheese
1 (15 oz) can Stagg Chili
3/4 can of a (10.75 oz) can Cambell’s Fiesta Nacho Cheese
1 cup salsa (we like mango flavored salsa)

Mix all ingredients together and heat in crock pot until ready to serve.Serve with chips.

Enjoy!

If you make this recipe, snap a photo and hashtag it #chefintraining and/or #chefintrainingblog. I would love to see how these recipes take shape in your kitchens.

I love this dip. It reminds me of the Velveeta Cheese and Salsa combo my Mom used to make when I was a kid. she would heat it up and then we would watch Knots Landing together! Ahhh, good memories!
