French Toast With a CRUNCH!

I know I did a post a couple days ago about french toast but my hubby’s friends from Arizona were visiting and requested french toast for breakfast. Some of you may already do this or have seen this done before but I thought I would share one of my favorite things to do with french toast. It’s not so much a recipe as much as it is an idea!

Make your french toast how you usually do.

For us, it is usually something along the lines of this: (I typically just eye ball it but here are some guesstimates)
5 eggs
2 Tbsp sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
about 1/4 cup of milk

Next crush up some cinnamon life cereal.
After the bread is dipped in the egg mixture dip it in the crushed cinnamon life cereal.
It keeps the same great french toast flavor but just adds a finishing CRUNCH to your bite!
Top with your favorite toppings and Enjoy!

If you make this recipe, snap a photo and hashtag it #chefintraining and/or #chefintrainingblog. I would love to see how these recipes take shape in your kitchens.

Your french toast sounds so yummy! I once did a crispy french toast by coating with crushed cornflakes, it is a different level of having french toast altogether!

You MUST MUST MUST try this with Captain Crunch. My kids grew up eating this on the week-ends. Always such a delicious breakfast. (The adults love it, as well!)
