Sweet Fall Party Popcorn

First off, HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I hope you all have a safe and fun night tonight!

Fact #1 I am sharing today: My hubby is the scoutmaster. What this means to me, well, I am the wife of a scoutmaster. I may not go to all the activities, but I sure do provide the yummy goodies that head their way.

Fact #2 I am sharing today: I grew up in a family of girls.  My only brother (the youngest) was born when I was almost 15.  I moved out when I was 18. Needless to say, I never really dealt with any “boys” in my house. Scouts is a whole new adventure to me :)

My husband brought the scouts over for their activity last week to our house.  My first response was, “Well, what and how much do boys eat?”  Girls of that age eat completely differently than guys. My hubby seeing a little bit of stress in my face told me not to worry about a thing and that he would be in charge of all the food. REALITY… my husband- love him dearly- can barely cook Top Ramen. Knowing this, I went all out and just made a bunch of treats/food for the guys.  I must have forgotten to tell him I was taking care of it, because when he got home from work he was holding a bag of pretzels in his hand.  Pretzels… for 8 boys? Not happening :)  When he saw the table I had set up, I don’t think the meanest of comments could have wiped that smile off his face. I had done well in his book :)

The boys came over and devoured the treats/food I had made!  The one that may have received the highest amount of compliments is the one I am sharing with you today!  It is a great party food, people LOVE it, and it is fall color schemed which makes it the perfect snack to make for your next fall get together.  What’s that?! You are having a party tonight for Halloween?!… Well, get on this! It is SO easy and people won’t be able to stop chowing down on it!

Enjoy!

Chocolate covered popcorn in my favorite!!! Love it with mm's too! We are popcorn twins today...I shared a fun one on my blog too:-)

Do you use butter flavored popcorn?

    1. Chef in Training

I used plain white, but I am sure you could I would recommend light butter though. You don't want the butter flavor to dominate.

This is the perfect solution for not wanting to bake today! Love it!!

  5. Dorothy @ Crazy for Crust

I would have no idea how to deal with boys. None. They are like strange little creatures. :) Love the popcorn!

I am going to try to make a peanut free version of this, as I think it would be awesome. Smarties should work for the m&m's but would chocolate chips be a good substitute for the almond bark ?

Where can I find white chocolate almond bark? Every where I go has vanilla and that is not the same. Did you use vanilla for this? Either way it looks yummy!

HAHAHAHHAHAHA I laughed SO loud reading this Nikki! Pretzels. For 8 boys. I'm dying. Sometimes guys just don't get it lol! You obviously saved the day - popcorn is always a hit - ESPECIALLY is it's salty/sweet and covered in white chocolate. and my favorite SPRINKLES!

I love some of your party snacks. They look delish! I am going to fix the snicker apple salad next month for bunco and I would love to try this popcorn using christmas colors. The issue I have is I tried this almond bard with popcorn but it did not seem to come out! Help! How do you distribute it where it is not clumped in one spot?

Does it stay fresh for long or get icky? Was thinking of putting in treat bags/boxes for teacher gifts.

I love this recipe! I couldn't find fall sprinkles so I used an edible glitter recipe and made them red and yellow/orange. It was really pretty! I'm going to use this recipe at Christmas for neighbor's gifts and swap out the colors. Thanks!
