Homemade Alfredo Sauce

We love Alfredo Sauce in this home!

I am going to share with you the recipe I use to make it.

HOMEMADE ALFREDO SAUCE

1/2 cup butter
1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese
2 tsp garlic powder
2 cups milk
6 oz. Parmesan cheese
1/8 tsp ground pepper

Melt butter in a medium sauce pan over medium heat.  Add cream cheese and garlic powder and stir until smooth.  Add milk a little at a time, whisking to smooth out lumps.  Stir in Parmesan cheese and pepper.  Remove from heat when sauce reaches desired consistency.  Sauce will thicken rapidly.  Add more milk to thin if sauce gets to thick.  Pour on your pasta and enjoy!

Enjoy!

Do you use grated parm or fresh?

    2. Chef in Training

I typically use grated park because it blend better, but I am sure fresh would be just fine too.

The first time I made this 3 years ago, it became my husband's favorite! He asks for it multiple times a year and will eat it all himself! It's simple enough to make, which is great because I don't like white sauces and I have to make something for myself lol LOVE how happy it makes him and how much he enjoys it :) I will sometimes add broccoli to change it up :)
