Your directions say to fill the holes with nougat (05) but then it says to fill the holes with caramel (06). How will the caramel fit?

    1. Cindy

I just made this for my adult daughter's birthday. The nougat was a little challenging. I tried pouring it in each hole and wish I would have had a squeeze bottle to put it into as it would have made it easier. I ended pouring as much as I could but ended up with almost a layer of nougat. I used a flat sided wooden spoon and kept working it into the holes until the cake started to pull and then I stopped. I picked up the cake tin and dropped it gently two times to try to get more nougat into the holes. After this, I did the caramel. There is room for both. I used Smuckers caramel in the bottle do I could squirt it in each hole. I have put it into the fridge and will top it closer to when we eat it. It seems and looks yummy.

Sorry I am so late getting back to you Diane, I have been out of town and away from my computer this weekend. The nougat recipe is included in the recipe. Hopefully it worked out for you :)

I am so sorry.....I didn't read it all the way through. Or it just didn't compute in my head. Again I am so sorry.

  17. shannon

can u use this as a filling or Wil it be too runny?

  18. Amanda

I spent a crazy amount of time trying to figure out how to make a Milky Way cake that did not involve melting a bunch of candy bars. Yours was the only recipe I found online that fit the bill. I can't wait to try it!

  19. Hayley

I'd love to make this, but I am not sure what marshmallow fluff is or what I could use in place of cool-whip - I'm from Australia

  20. Stephanie

I tried this recipe out tonight! Unfortunately, the filling for me came out SO thick, making it impossible to "pour" into each hole. The only thing that I think may have caused this not turning out the way I had hoped was that I set it to boil like instructed, and I stirred for 4 minutes WHILE it was STILL on boil. Should I have turned the heat down once the bubbles were formed? Not sure what I did wrong :(

  21. Nicole Koloski

Looks and sounds delicious!! To bad they got peanut butter brownies tonight. Would have made this!!

  22. Tenecia

This cake is just sinful and sooooo good. I can only make this cake once a year.

  23. Jennifer

I'm not a cool whip fan. Do you think real whipping cream would work or do you have any other suggestions.

  24. Doug S.

I make this cake at least twice a month. It is awesome. Make sure that you boil, and stir the nougat long enough or it will be crunchy. To conserve a little money, I omit the milky ways. I don't think you need it.
