If croissants and s'more are perfection what would happen if they joined forces- The bomb diggity that's what! ohsweetbasil.com_-4

Hello Chef in Training readers!!! I’m Carrian and my husband and I write the site, Sweet Basil, a place devoted to reinventing family dinner and more recently a little health/fitness on the side. We are so excited to share this recipe for Disappearing S’more Croissants (am I the only one that says croissants with a french accent every time I see the word?) with all of you!

And let’s be honest, I feel a little weird throwing a photo of us up here, but I love seeing the picture of the bloggers I’m reading on other sites, so I thought you may want to put face with the name too. You’re welcome. Now let’s get back to the deliciousness.

Disappearing S'more Crossiants from Sweet Basil guest post on chef-in-training.com ...These are perfection!

Summertime gets a little crazy around here. I end up making things like, blackberry lime bars, Reese’s Crumble Bars, Deep Fried Peaches with Ice Cream (oh my gosh, best thing ever. Go. Make it. Thank me later) I’m not kidding, desserts flow during the summer. I already can’t wait to make our grilled strawberries and nutella pizzas again. So good!! I’m sure that I’m probably the only person like this, but summer happens to be the time of year that I eat the most desserts. Normally summer is when everyone is getting bathing suit ready, doing outdoor activities all the time, and eating lighter and healthier, but not me. Well, I guess that’s not true. Our meals do get a facelift. We grill more so we eat things like tcarne asada tacos (recipe is on the site), and we love all of the fresh veggies so we definitely enjoy healthier meals. But dessert. Dessert is my problem. Why do I make dessert more in the summer than any other time of year?

And let’s get real for a moment, I almost didn’t post this recipe, because it turned out so stinking delicious I wanted to use it on my own site, but I happen to adore sweet Nikki so much I decided to sacrifice a little because if she’s wonderful, her readers must be wonderful and I couldn’t hold back something as delicious as marshmallows, chocolate and croissants. I think I just drooled a little.

And these are super easy to make so when you get a hankering for something sweet you can whip these babies together in about 5 minutes, just throw chocolate and marshmallows in the croissant, roll it up, roll in butter and graham crackers and then bake them for about 12 minutes. Not bad eh?! Then when you pull them out the graham crackers crumbs are all golden and buttery just like a graham cracker should be and the inside, oh the inside!! It’s all chocolaty and although the marshmallow disappears you can totally taste it in every bite. It’s like this gooey pillow of deliciousness.

So, I guess that’s it and my time is up, but I’d sure love if you all would stop by and tell me what you thought of the cobbler.
