Chocolate Crinkle Cookies
There is something about gorgeous cookies that makes them taste even better.
These cookies not only taste like a chocolate brownie cookie, but are completely striking! I got this recipe from my HERSHEY’S Chocolate Cookbook (pretty sure every girl should own this cookbook) and it is absolutely amazing!
Have a chocolate craving?! These will fix that! They are the perfect chocolate indulgence!

Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 4 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 1/3 cup flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Combine sugar, oil and cocoa in a large bowl. Beat until well blended.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla.
- In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Slowly add to cocoa mixture, beating well.
- Cover and refrigerate dough until it is firm enough to handle. If you are wanting them to firm up faster, like me, stick the covered dough in the freezer until firm enough to handle.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease a cookie sheet.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls then roll them in powdered sugar. Place on cookie sheet about 2 inches apart from each other.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 10-12 minutes.

I got this recipe about 15 years ago from the ambassador's chef while my husband was stationed at the American Embassy in Muscat, Oman. He made these really tiny so they looked elegant and guilt-free. They were elegant but we ate far too many of them to call them guilt free. They are so delicious and so very easy to make. I have no idea where my recipe got to, so I'm thrilled to get another copy from you! Thanks!

Love Chocolate Crinkles! I make them every year at Christmas. They are always one of everyone's favorites. How do you add the box to your site with the recipe and the ability to print just the recipe?
Michelle
I love these cookies. Friends brought them to us for Christmas last year, and they were so good. I am excited to make some.

I believe this recipe makes about 5-6 dozen depending on how big you make them :) If you make them, I would love to know how many dozen you get from them. Thanks so much!

I love, love, love your blog. I use it frequently. I am currently making these for my son's tour (he tours with a Christian band) and I have doubled the batch to make sure they have enough. :) My mom has made these she called them Sno Caps. She also had added some mint extract and they were delicious!!! Can't wait to see how these turn out. Thank you!!!!

Is freezing for an hour ok? I usually use parchment paper on my cookies sheets. Wish me luck!
Marissa
So I like to make these almost every year for friends and family but after making these I got the idea to add peppermint extract instead of vanilla and they are amazing.... I usually add more then what it says but everyone has a preference so you find ur own and try it that way if you would like.
Rosanne
Do these freeze well after baking?.
