Paula Deen’s Magic Bars
I LOVE Paula Deen. I love watching her on Food Network. One of the funniest things I do is watch her in the morning while I work out on my elliptical. I always watch how much butter she adds and then tell myself, “Its a good thing I am working out right now so I can enjoy that later” :) Although this is said to be her recipe, I had to do a double take because there really isn’t a lot of butter in this recipe. I know… I was shocked, too! So I guess we can conclude, it is a “Healthier” Paula Deen recipe, right?! ;-) Okay, maybe not healthy, but these really are just moist and delicious bars of goodness!….I dare say, “Magic”?! haha
PAULA DEEN’S MAGIC BARS
recipe from: Purple Chocolat Home
1 lb. frozen or fresh cookie dough (I used this recipe, but you could also use a package of refrigerated dough)
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips
1 cup toffee bits
1 cup chopped pecans
1 can sweetened condensed milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Lightly spray a 9×13 pan with Pam.
Lightly flour your hands and press thawed cookie dough into bottom of pan, completely covering the pan. Bake for 8 minutes.
Remove from oven and sprinkle all the chips, bits, and nuts.
Pour on the sweetened condensed milk over the top.
Return to oven and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned.
Let cool completely before cutting into bars.
Enjoy!

Oh my word, that looks delish! Your site is making me wish I had any kind of skill in the kitchen! But don't worry, I can print out all of the goodness and hand it over to the husband who is wayyyy better at baking than me!

Love Paula! I also love chef in training! Thanks for always finding the best of the best recipes! I feel like by following your blog you have done all the hard work or sorting out recipes that aren't as good as others. Do you ever make recipes that you don't like and never post?

Oh, these look delish!!! I was out of town for work, and I felt horribly guilty for eating way to much Italian Food, lots of bread and pasta that I got back to the hotel and ran the Treadmill for 1 1/2 hours watching Cupcake Wars. He he!!

I have been making this recipe for a year and my friends and family love it! I am curious why you call them Paula Deen's Magic Bars? I cannot find this recipe under her name anywhere. I am baking a batch right now...
