Slow Cooker Salsa Chicken

Sundays for me are a day of easy dinners.

I like to throw something into the crock-pot before church and have it ready to prepare once I get home.

This is one of the easiest recipes, and yet so delicious!

We like to eat it wrapped in a tortilla with lettuce and cheese, but you can serve it on top of rice as well for a delicious meal.

SLOW COOKER SALSA CHICKEN

4 boneless chicken breasts
1 cup salsa
1 package taco seasoning
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup sour cream

Add chicken to slow cooker.  Sprinkle taco seasoning on the chicken.  Mix salsa and cream of chicken in a seperate bowl and add to crock-pot over the chicken.  Cook on low for 6 hours until chicken is done.  Remove from heat and stir in sour cream.  Shred the chicken and serve in a wrap or over rice.

Enjoy!

If you make this recipe, snap a photo and hashtag it #chefintraining and/or #chefintrainingblog. I would love to see how these recipes take shape in your kitchens.

I tried this yesterday! It turned out to be really great for chicken enchiladas filling! We actually had it as a wrap yesterday, then I used it for enchiladas smothered in cheese this evening... and I still had enough for another meal leftover, my goodness! Thanks for the idea!!! The chicken was so moist and perfectly cooked this way!!

I made this but added two more cans of cream of chicken and turned it into soup. Garnish with cheese and fresh tomatoes. Yum
