Frito Pie

This is one of the easiest dinners EVER!

It only has 3 ingredients, takes about 20-25 minutes from start to finish and it tastes delicious!

I made this for dinner recently, and decided to repost it for those that haven’t gotten a chance to see it yet and also to update my old picture.

I want to make this as simple as possible.

This is just a dump and bake kind of recipe.

First, pour in the Fritos on the bottom of a 9×13.

Then pour on the chili. Then sprinkle some shredded cheese on top.

Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and Frito Pie is warmed all the way through.Serve up! It tastes great with a spoonful of sour cream, too!

How easy is that?!

FRITO PIE

1 large bag frito chips (I don’t always use all of them)
3 cans classic Stagg Chili (you can really used any canned chili or even homemade if you like.  Stagg is just a personal favorite of mine)
1 cup shredded cheese (Give or take, it just depends how cheesy you like it)

Pour Fritos to cover the bottom of a 9×13.
Pour chili over Fritos. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
Bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and Chili is heated all the way through.

Enjoy!

Most people have heard of different recipes for cookies to give as a gift in a jar. Do you know of any recipes I could use this same gift but giving a casserole in a casserole dish. I have several nieces and every year I buy different dishes for the holiday with a theme (Italian, Mexican etc...) I would appreciate any ideas you have.

we make this with white rice , have chili hot or warm to melt cheese so it's a layer of frito's, layer of white rice, pour on hot chili and cheese and can add lettuce and tomato if you want, we call it taco on a plate but it tastes like Spanish rice!

This sounds really good. This would also be a good way to use leftover chili. It’s just my husband and I and I, so I always have leftovers.
