Fa’zookies

This can be called a variety of different things.

My family calls them Fa’zookies but I have also heard them called Pa’zookies.

They are so simple and really flexible on how you do them. I first fell in love with this bad boy from a restaurant where I’m from called Firehouse Pizza.

Basically, it is a partially cooked cookie, topped with ice cream, hot fudge and caramel.

What is not to love about that! You can use any flavor of cookie dough you want….chocolate chip is my husbands favorite flavor for Fa’zookies.  My favorite Fa’zookie flavor is English Toffee.  This is the English Toffee Cookie Recipe I use to make it but have fun and pick out your favorite cookie!

FA’ZOOKIE

English Toffee Cookie (use whatever flavor cookie you want to!)

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. soft shortening
2 eggs2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda1 tsp. salt
6-8 Heath candy bars, broken

Cream together sugars and shortening. Add eggs and beat. Combine flour, soda and salt and add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Blend in candy bar bits. Smoosh a thin layer of the cookie dough on bottom of pan.
Bake at 350 F for 15 minutes or until cookie looks partially cooked.

You don’t want to overcook it because part of its goodness is being a little doughy! MMM!

Top with Ice cream, hot fudge, and caramel.

Enjoy!

If you make this recipe, snap a photo and hashtag it #chefintraining and/or #chefintrainingblog. I would love to see how these recipes take shape in your kitchens.

This looks awesome. I do the BJ's pizzookie thing as well with chocolate chip cookie dough that spreads too much for my liking (depending on the recipe). I just bake the dough in a ramekin then top with ice cream and eat warm - yummy!

I have a silly question...how do you do it with your own cookie flavor? Do you still have to add the candy bar bits? It looks amazing and I can't wait to try it!
