Pluckett

This recipe comes from my grandma.If you ever have a sweet craving or need a sweet breakfast,this would be a good choice!Pluckett is so delicious!I forgot to take a picture of it after I had taken it out of the mold, but thanks to google images, you can see what it would have looked like.here’s the recipe:PLUCKETT1 pkg. yeast1/4 cup warm water1 cup scalding milk3 eggs beaten1/3 cup sugar1/2 tsp. salt4 cups flourDissolve yeast in warm water.  Add sugar and salt to scalded milk.  When mixture is lukewarm, add dissolved yeast, eggs, and flour.Beat thoroughly.  Cover and let rise until double in size.  Stir down and let rise again until doubleMix:1 cup sugar3 tsp. cinnamon1/2 cup finely chopped nuts (optional)Take 1 tsp. of dough and dip in melted butter and then dip in sugar mixture.  Pile balls loosely in ungreased angel food cake pan.Let rise 30 minutesBake at 350 F for 30 min.  Check to make sure it doesn’t need longer.Turn pan upside down almost immediately after removing from oven. Cool no longer than 5 minutes.  Serve warm.  We like to eat our with a light glaze drizzled over top.Enjoy!
